New Book Features Jasmine’s Latest Projects
It is my pleasure to announce the exciting release of Art + Climate = Change, published by the Ian Potter Museum of Art. The book features two of my recent key projects - The Politics of Perception at Latrobe Regional Gallery and The Catchments Project - at Creative Space's Lab 14 Studio, presented during 2015 as a part of the Art+ Climate = Change Festival.
"In a period of profound environmental and social upheaval, climate change has become one of our greatest challenges. Yet for many of us, fear, confusion and frustration mean we are reluctant to consider, let alone act on this pressing issue.
Presenting the work of Australian and international artists ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE explores the power of art to create the empathy, emotional engagement and cultural understanding needed to motivate meaningful change.
This handsome 160 page hardback publication contains beautiful images, and informative and provocative essays by Kelly Gellatly, Director of The Ian Potter Museum of Art, The University of Melbourne, and John Wiseman, Deputy Director of the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute."
